Can anyone enlighten me on how to get a full screen vision of the bottom 20m when fishing greater depths. I'm finding the split screen version harder to see these days. I know it's probably quite simple but I haven't been able to figure it out. Cheers all

Are you familiar with the Shift and Range function?

My experience is with the 582, a much older, but the functionality is similar.

The range menu can be set to different amounts, in case you want to look at a smaller or greater range, depending on water depth.

The shift key moves the range up or down the water column, depending on what you want to look at. You set this value at the amount you wish to shift the range with each press of the arrow. I had mine set at 10 metres. So, the first press it would look at the surface - 20 metres. The second would look at 10 - 30 metres, and so on. You could shift this up and down as the depth changed.

Does that help? Do you have the manual, it would possibly explain this better.

    Yep what bremic said.

Also I would suggest assigning "shift" to the function key, then leave the little shift text window open (top left of screen) and it's then a single button press to adjust the shift with varying depth.

Its an option in the menu, you can change what is assigned to the function key.

Thanks for the advice. Got it sorted today. Had it on bottom disc mode. Now working as should. I find Garmin more user friendly btw. Just saying.
