Could be wrong Splasher but I think it's only the newer Motor Guide that has the link with lowrance HDS...........Sell the crusty old tech shitbox Minn Kota and buy the new Motor guide.

I have the HDS12T and the new GPS linked MK Electric Motor.
I now fish / boat in the local Bay of up to 20m in depth.
I want to quickly drive towards the waypoint with my outboard - say 10km and then slow down and accurately 'land' on the waypoint (with the built-in tolerances of course).
What technology exists to allow my MK electric motor automatically steer towards and stop at the waypoint without being linked in with the HDS12T?

I do acknowledge that the Hummingbird ipilot link exists - but I do not have this sounder unfortunately...

splash. yep gota go motorguide to have it all talk to each other
xi5 with pinpoint.
thanks Moose.
Couple of different requirements there Splash. The Motorguide will sort out the interface to the electric but if you want the main engine/steering hooked in you would also need an autopilot - pretty big investment and a fair bit involved but worth their weight in gold if doing big distances or trolling. The pilot can be hooked up to the GPS to take you to a waypoint direction wise but still wont control throttle - that bit is up to you.
