    least windiest time of year for cooktown ?

    hey guys , can anyone tell me what time of year cooktown is least windiest ?
    I know the place is a very windy town but any months in particular better then others ?

    We were nth of there at Bathurst head last October and it was under 10knts the week before and after we there and blew 25knts while we were up there if that helps any.

    I used to work at Cape Flattery roughly 60k north of Cooktown.......Oct/Nov/Dec seem to be about your best bet talking to the long time locals there .........During the dry season I do't think we had many days under 20kts to be honest........some days 30+.

    thanks guys, I was there in November and copped 25 knots. its suck a great spot with awesome opportunities. my plan is to get to lizard and do runs to the ribbons to fish. ive been to Howick group in a tinny in about 1/2 knot conditions. and its just fish galore. il just have to keep planning trips and keep my fingers crossed for good weather.
