PBB Snapper Fishing - Moon and Night

What effect (if any) does moon in the day sky have on fishing for snapper in PBB?

How do you hunt/search/locate snapper at night time in PBB - given that they tend to leave their deeper water safety lofts and move into shallower waters to feed under the cover of darkness??

Ideal length of time to fish for snapper before and after change of tide?

Don't know a lot (make that nothing) about Port Phillip bay, BUT, I kind of doubt the moon in the sky during the day has any influence on fish biting, I guess finding fish is finding fish, Port Phillip Bay, Moreton Bay or Jervis Bay, makes little difference, find structure and food... find the fish?

I guess it's easy to say the moon in the day is no good, but why? and what concrete proof does he have? other than to say, one day he was fishing and caught nothing, and the moon happened to be out in the day, so that must have been it.....

I heard Moon by day , fish by day. Moon by night, fish by night.
Dont know how true it is. Maybe just an old wives or fishermans tale

I have always known the best time to catch snapper and bream is on full moon and new moon
and on those times the moon rises at dusk and sets at dawn so ,on first quarter and last quarter
is the time you would see the moon in daylight.
