Headed to straddie and stayed at Amity point for the weekend gone. Sat out the blowy weather and got stuck into some nice squid and sandies on Saturday, then headed out through the bar early the next morning. decided to have a quick troll at Point Lookout and ended up with my first ever yellowfin, which took a small laser pro. Ended up being fairly nice sashimi, but not as good as longtails that I've had before despite its superior reputation. After that quietened down, went for a look at the southern 35s for nothing but a couple of moses perch. moved in closer to moreton at a mark which has produced before and within the first few drops dad had a PB pearly of 70cm and 5.8kg aboard. I then managed another two, including a 51cm fish on a plastic which was a PB for me. also got the first samsonfish that I've seen at about 45 cm, so put that back and then headed back in to be home by lunch, leaving them chewing. Happy with that, and kept one pearly whole for baking which will go down a treat!
Cheers, Owen
