Most seem to use an additive such as Stabil Marine or Startron.
Here's blog I found a little while ago testing additives in relation to E10 and other general comments re E10 fuels for boaters.

If you want to find out what they do in the US I suggest you join The Hull Truth & search "Ethanol problems".

Hello All,
I have just had a lengthy phone chat with someone from KAP and yes, they are adamant that all petrol will contain ethanol.
I pointed out that such fuel in not satisfactory for boats, and the response was that there will be a small tank at the petrol station as there used to be a tank of mixed two stroke fuel 30 years ago.
That is what I was told.
I pointed out the many reasons why that would never work and the response was that the KAP does not change it's policies.
I then asked about my car, as it cannot use ethanol fuel(Manufacturer, RACQ, etc).
An absolute brick wall on that topic as well.
Please call KAP on 07 38681870 and voice your opposition to this nonsense.
. .
As long as it benefits sugar cane/grain farmers, they don't care about the after effects.
Typical of our modern democracy, rule by the minority & stuff the rest.
Well said Croc. KAP need to hear from lots of fishos not just you to help them form a "real world" position. Beattie and Bligh did the same crap by bringing in Ethanol fuel to ensure the flow of Green preferences (as well as Grey Nurse Shark closures when old man Palochet was Fisheries Minister & 15% of MBMP closed to recreational fishing just to remind those who have short memories).
Where I live at Redcliffe it needed a change of Government so that ethanol free fuel was again readily available for fishos to use.
And just to add a bit more truth to any debate, the Greens polled over 8% of the primary vote in Qld at this last election with Labour winning plenty of seats on preference distribution. So anyone who thinks Labour won't be doing deals with the Greens to close more of our fishing areas obviously can't learn from what Beattie and Bligh did in the past.
Interesting stuff, could you give a list of seats that required green preferences to win ?
Since the greens didn't get a single seat, there's no need for labor to make deals with them.
Labor will probably do a deal with kater to ensure an absolute majority.
ALP 44, LNP 42, KAP 2, other 1
Hopefully Labor won't need the support of the two KAP members. The KAP requirement for 10% ethanol in our fuel has just been agreed to by Springborg and the Qld LNP should they gain power.

Labor will probably do it anyway. Anything to appease the greens.
Democracy: Simply a system that allows the 51% to steal from the other 49%.
