    Garmin 70S/70DV

Well I have some questions I am hoping can be answered here.
    1. I have 750s and the GPS screen locked up on the weekend, would not turn off I had to unplug the unit and restart it. Tried everything but would not respond. Turned it on and off a few times when back on the trailer and it seemed to operate. Drove home with it on and it tracked me home ok.
Went onto Garmin and down loaded the updated software from 4.1 to 4.2. seems ok at home but will need to test it on the water.
    2. I have know lost my green zones off my card where can I get a green zone card and how much.
    3. Thinking I might update to the new 70S or 70DV and been told the head unit will fit my existing mount and just plug it into the existing loom and transducer off I go.
    4. Do the new 70S and 70DV have green zones already loaded or do you need to purchase a card how much$.
    5. Has anyone just changed the head unit from a 750 to the new 70 series.

    Thanks in advance Mark

    Re: Garmin 70S/70DV

I've owned a 750s and now have a 70dv......maybe they will plug and play but the 70dv definatly now comes with a different tranceducer for the downvu side of things, also the newer 70dv seems to be a thinner unit than my older 750s.

Not sure on the green zones as there are none where I live.

    Re: Garmin 70S/70DV

different plugs. the 750s used an all in one loom that br anched off to a 6 pin blac ksonar plug
the new 70s/dv models use a red powernmea0813 cable and a blue 8 pin sonar cable. so things will need to all need to be pulled out sadly

latest maps seem to show a lot of "do not go red zones". i think garmin reserves green for "port operation zones" so as to not confuse they are red.
they are also a run out model. annoyingly garmin is dropping them. both 70s and 70dv are out of stock at garmin... so it will be what ever is in store at shops
