The bar at 1770 will not be dredged or the beacons lit up.
The thing is, if this happens the estuary becomes a navigatable port and as such would need funding and port authority to manage it. There is only limited commercial activities using the estuary and as such they may be liable to assist in the funding of any dredging works.
There are few Ausfishers about that tend to " dredge " things around 1770, unintentionally, so maybe a word in THEIR ear or some " joy " will help.
The bar is not that bad that it requires dredging or similar.
Always use caution and discretion when crossing any bar.
For 1770..... as you are leaving the estuary and pass the last Green Buoy, steer slightly to Port to achieve the deepest exit point. The sand is silting up on the southern side near the rocks, but this is quite visable. If in doubt, ask for advice from Marine Rescue Round Hill when you log on, upon departing the marina precinct.

Just spent the last 4 days through this bar and heading home tomorrow and can add that I Did not have one issue with the crossing at any time. Fishing on the other hand.................
Prowl n Wolf, a mate of mine's fished there the last couple of days and got bugger all too. He's very experienced up there and usually bags out, but even after running all over creation he got four fish yesterday and twelve today! And besides one Spaniard, not great fish either. Couldn't even catch hussar! I was up there a couple of months ago and I could hardly get a bait PAST the bloody hussar!
ps. Sorry for the thread hijack.....
My son is 12yrs old now and last time I was up that way and crossed it he was 11mths old. Where does the time go?? So what does it need, some more Bundy on the shelves, extra cold VB in the fridge or some fun loving topless waitresses............. Jim.
