    Diy Bow anchor roller.

    Hey guys,

I was just wanting to know if anyone has seen or made one of these contraptions before and how well they work. I am looking to do something like this on my boat to help de-clutter the boat and not have the anchor around peoples feet while driving the boat around.

From what i have seen on the few images i can find you have one short rope to tilt the whole thing up and then the anchor rope.

Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

Edit: The second picture is not my boat but it is the same model, a Quintrex Fishabout Mk2.

    Holy sh🙊t...
I've never seen anything like that before. Especially the fourth picture.
That is one weird looking contraption.
Don't think I'd like that hanging off the front of my boat, especially when it get's rough.

I reckon a good downhill run on a swell with a bit of a plough at the bottom would see water shooting right over the boat, that's right before the U turn.

Wow, I didnt even think about where it would be sitting when the boats in the water. I think I need to find another solution to my problem.

    Thanks for the advice!.

sure whether this would be a viable alternative but my anchor lived in the recycling bin bolted to the bow of my old tinnie for years. Never looked like flying out even with bar crossings and some extreme braking manoeuvres - some with and some without the car and trailer attached.Attachment 107103
