You don't transfer it from one device to the other. Just just re-download it from Google after you log in with the same account.

    Re: Navionics

Anyone know the differences between the $59.99 HD app and the au&nz $17.99 app for androids? My tablet will allow the download of both.
I have tried both free trials and they state that hd is optimized for larger tablet screens but after trying both on the tablet the only difference I can see is that the menu screen won't rotate horizontally with the screen on the cheaper one but can still access all buttons. Maps and image clarity look indentical and all options and settings seem the same. ?

I wondered that too. Maybe you can zoom in more? Dunno, but the cheap one is plenty good enough for me.

On the free trials of both zoom is exactly the same. I just wanna know if there is any other reason to spend the $40+ more instead of just turning my head in the options menu?

    Re: Navionics

I had both. Thought the tablet/phone specific ones had been withdrawn and the boating one (AU&NZ) replaced them which was suitable for both types of devices. I never saw any difference in the displays. Just wish you could up/download GPS marks to plotters.
It does however work better than the Navionics+ chip in my plotter.

Nah, they were still selling the "HD" one for tablets just a week or so ago when I bought mine.

My Boating HD app is only with my tablets but the non-HD Boating app is compatible both my tablets & my phones.

I cannot install the HD one on my phone.

Yep, that's what I was saying. You can buy the non-HD version and use it on both for the single, cheaper, one-time payment.

    Re: Navionics

But does the non-HD one display as nicely the a larger HD tablet screen?

Non-HD on my small screen looks the same as HD on my larger tablet screen but perhaps the non-HD on a larger tablet may not look as sharp.

Either way it's a good bit of cheap gear which pretty much takes the place of a full blown plotter.

look further up the thread. Some say they can't see the difference. On my 7" tablet, both look the same.
