Downvision Shots around the Beacons and Curtin

I was out in the bay yesterday and have just fitted a Downvision module to Raymarine setup. Managed to take some good shots around the bay - really dows give you a new level of clarity.

This first shot was taken at one of the tripod beacons at the four beacons showing bait balls around one of the legs. I really helped as the bait was holding very tightly on one leg and you could drop right on top of them. The bright blobs higher up I suspect were Schoolies patrolling the beacon. They stole quite a few livies on the way up

The shots are fantastc. They are so clear.

What sounder u got and whats the downvision module?

I have a Raymarine system - these shots are from the CP100 downvision module - same as they use for Dragonfly and the ax8 series

Those big blobs on the beacon I suspect are bat fish. They show up the exact same on mine. Some great shots there, makes me even more annoyed the boat didn't leave the garage yesterday or today

i have heard this Dragon fly. Are they good? Do they run combo.

i am looking at buying another combo.

If thats the shots u get, they maybe i should look at these.

Hey Mate

Yes they do run Combo - had one on my old boat and it was great.

Now they have the 7" version if I was looking for a single unit I would get one

Same Sonar engine in both so images would be the same
