question re fitting Hy-Drive bull horn, stuck on tiller, anyone done this,
Well, slowly but surely, I have it mostly done now, just need to connect the tiller arm then the oil pipes and bleed it. Hard to tell from the instruction book but I am stuck on the tiller arm(s). As shown in the photo, does the one on the right from the engine connect to the other arm on the cylinder on the left or do I just use the one tiller arm on the cylinder direct to the engine? which I am thinking it is, never done this before so playing cautiosly. If the later then, I think I need to change the Hydrive arm to one that is a bit longer and has a bend in it so that it clears the frame. This is being fitted to a 2004 Mercury 2 stroke. Thanks anyone (Click on photos to enlarge)

Be aware that if it doesn't seem to fit properly you may have to modify...see how you go first though

Re: question re fitting Hy-Drive bull horn, stuck on tiller, anyone done this,
Thanks for the clarification guys, I removed the old tiller from the engine and it looks like the standard straight tiller arm that came with it is going to catch so I think I need the special bent tiller arm, option 3 as per their instruction booklet, dang, I should be out on the bay already, it looks perfect today. It will be Monday now before I can dive into Cleveland for the replacement part.
