Buting new sounder

Will need to buy a new sounder.
I was looking at the lowrance elete 7 with that chirp technology.

i know nothing about it.

i liked the size of the screen. I had a hummin 788 with 5 in screen.

Are they worth buying. Only want to spend around $1000, for a combo.

Check review sites......early machines (pre chirp) we having a lot of problems.......see if the newer ones are getting a good wrap.

Ask about water proofing.
I've had 2 Lowrances fog up and soon after die.

elite 7 chirp gets 6mOOses out of 11. it has a GOOD not great sonar it has a GOOD not great gps, its prices GOOD not great, its built GOOD not great........................lol get the picture
