Your dead right when you say if your targeting reds, target them only.
With the number of hussar out of 1770 and east of Lady Elliot at plague proportions, you won't stand a chance without BIG hooks.

Awesome read keith and very informative mate.
The rig you use for trout out fishes any other rig i've seen and also capable of landing good school reds as well.
I have now converted about 10 others to using that rig and none have looked back.

Agree 100% all my Reds caught in past 6 mths have been on ganged pillies chasing Reefies.
