Don't know if there's a difference between year models - but my brother's f60 (2012/3 model -not sure which) puts out the fuel data - he's got it hooked up to a lowrance though (very accurate too in the trips i saw)

Hello all,
in addition to a earlier post I made. I've had some success in linking my 2007 f60 yamaha to a nmea network.
i have it linked to a furuno 1870, the unit can see my motor and displays oil temps, rpm etc aswell as fuel pressure(psi) plus a few alarms etc.
for some reason the motor isn't putting out fuel rate or the furuno can't read it? I have checked and the furuno is receiving pgn outputs 127488/489 but not fuel rate. Fuel rate should be in the 489 outputs.
yamaha aus wasn't overly helpful and furuno rep said it should show up.
So I have a feeling the motor doesn't output the fuel rate details from the ECU?
it would be beyond stupid of yamaha to output all data except fuel rate surely?
anyone else come across this issue?
cheers.

I would be trying to borrow a different breed of display for testing.
Hey Julian,
yeah it's a white 4 pin plug with only two wires connected, blue and white.
cheers
Just an update for anyone interested. Plugged my motors into a garmin 751xs and hds7 and it displayes all the fuel info successfully!
Furuno rep was adamant the 1870f would display the info and my motors were to old.
yamaha also said my motors "are probably" to old but not sure.
turns out none of them were right..lol.
furuno's software is obviously a bit lacking in this area.
anyhow, hope this helps someone else..
no probs.
