Will 285's fit on a D40 with no lift?

Gday all,
Seen a set of 285 tyres at a bargain price to put on my D40 Navara but as I don't have a lift yet, just wondered if they'll fit?

Slim chance. I assume you mean 285/75 which are 33inch tyres. Have put 265/75 on a D40 which scrubbed before getting 2" lift.

Stock tyres are about 30 inches I think so it is a big increase to 33. Unlikely to fit. Also technically illegal as it is more than 2 inches increase ... but doubt you'd ever have any hassles in that regard.

I've currently got 265 75 16 Coopers ST's on there at present and have no dramas with scrubbing.
It would probably be close with a 17 on there I reckon.
