Help needed - new to Mackay
Hi all
My partner and I have just moved to Mackay to live. I would like to fish for reds or big stuff offshore. I have a 4.85m Seajay with overpowered 75 etec on it.
Tried Baileys islet a couple of times - wasn't much chop.
Would really like to know thoughts/suggestions on areas - Is it worth going south of Sarina? Don't mind traveling to the right locations.
Is The Beverley Group good fishing?
Also, we are after good launch points.
Thanks in Advance

You will more then likely need to go a lot further then baileys for reds. Head out to Penrith if your keen, can be a long way home at times.
If you launch off the beach down at Greenhill you will find alot better fishing in closer.
