    Question about Lowrance Transducer

    Hello All,

I bought a Lowrance Elite 5 a couple of years ago:

    http://www.lowrance.com/en-au/Produc...te5-en-au.aspx

Basically, I'm wanting to know what transducer would have came with it...

    Would this be the one?

    Thanks in advance :-)

There should be a small silver tag on the cable, usually near the dash end. If you can find that, it will have the model code on it.
Note to self: Don't argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience....

Do you need a new one? I have an 83/200 kHz one for sale. Code is HST-WSBL and it works fine. It came of an LMS334 unit which has died.

Not wanting to hijack ya thread but I just bought a brand new Lowrance and in the booklet for transducer installation on page 10 it says "The transducer should be installed parallel with the transoms waterline not the bottom of the boat (deadrise)"

Then in a shaded area below it says
"NOTE, Ensure the entire bottom surface of the transducer hangs at least a couple of millimetres (1/16ths of an inch) lower than the bottom of the hull.

    WTF am I missing here???

    Nothing.
They could have added a few more hints but there is nothing wrong with what you posted.

I got a response from Lowrance and the part # is 000-0106-48

So, if it is exactly the same as one of them, then I don't mind buying it from you..

Otherwise, I'll order one off the net.
