    Cape moreton

Went off the cape on Sunday had our first baits in the water by 6am about 30mins into it a 48cm squire/snapper went into the box it was looking to be a good day after that we got nothing but pickers and a few small sweep. Did anyone else have similar results? Was still good to be on the water and out of the house

    It was a tough day.

Plenty showing on the sounder but little action. We fished further south than you along Moreton Is and ended the day with just a couple of fish each, just a feed and that was it.

Same story from most other boats that I know that were out too. And most of them are experienced Club fisho's who would have been catching them if they were biting.
Note to self: Don't argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience....

I dived instead (China Wall and Hendo's), my mate fished out on the 42s and did ok. No bag out but enough to make the trip worthwhile. Still not thick though.

I picked up only 5 squire and 1 snapper which went 81 and a greasy cod on the 7s. Fished prob 20 different marks from middle reef, 7's, 35's, 33s and 29's. Pillies, livies, mullet, squid real hard work
Fish shut down after 9 when the moon went down.
