    Leapin Lizards

Well after having to get rid of my modest little tinny after my marriage bust up last year I have fished either yak based or in a boat due to the kindness of the great mates I have met on here and other forums. There were some tough times and it was hard not being able to go out and bash about in my own rig when I wanted to but that's all changed. I have worked hard for 12 months, saved my pennies to get back into a position to get my own boat again. This time I wanted something that was going to get me into my flatty spots with iPilot plus be able to chase snapper, tuna, macs etc offshore on a good day. I looked long and hard, ummed and agghhed and thought new vs used etc until I settled on the following

    2009 Alley Craft Shadow-Pro 4.45M
    2009 Honda 60HP 4 stroke
    110L live well
Lowrance DSI7 with upgraded this that and the other, structure scan etc etc
    7ft rod locker
    Heaps of under floor storage
    Heavy duty braked Oceana trailer
    Minn Kotta iPilot 55lb

This boat is immaculate. The previous owner had since new and was fastidious.

I will be out this weekend Sat and Sunday learnin how to use it. Once I am confident I will start returning the favour of outings to those of you that have been so generous to take me out in the last year.

Think I will call her Leapin’ Lizards as this is a saying my daughter uses a lot.

Sweet ride Funchy. Those big lizards will take their time coming aboard just to get an extra look at the eye candy.

Flash as a rat with a gold tooth. The local flatty population won't know what hit it. Well done.

I guess you wont know till you try it but are you happy with the sounder hangin off the side of the console? I can see it getting knocked when there a rush for the net!! I would look at mounting it up behind the windscreen...

    Shannon sends her love.

Funchy, bit deeper draft than the yak, you will get the shiny bottom all covered in mud as even the yak must touch in some places where you fish.

Aww bugger as if it wasn't bad enough reading about your kayak triumphs now you are going to rub salt into the wound with snappers, macs and tuna. I give up!!!! Seriously though funchy that is a sweet ride. We will have to catch up one of these days when I am up at my olds at Shelley beach. In the mean time please keep your reports rolling in.
