Unfortunately I will not be able to make this event, I am working, so if any of you critters have a mishap on the spit/bar or elsewhere up that way, I will be the bloke in the chopper coming to save your silly butts. Stay safe all, and I hope you have a great time fishing the top of Fraser. I will be doing a trip up there at the end of November, so please feel free to let me know any info on the hot spots and best areas to try from your time up there next weekend. Enjoy!!! Kev.
You can do a fly over and point us in the direction of the fish lol. If the weather not good may have to reschedule....

We're planning on leaving the Gold Coast around lunch time then steaming on up.
probably no beer drops...but you know it is nearly Christmas time.... LOL.... If we are up that way, we will be monitoring vhf 16, or 22 if appropriate. Tropicrows, best birds eye view available,,, great for whale spotting too... hope you all get into them, weather marginal with 15knots long range guessing from today... You won't know for sure until Wednesday next week really of a sound forecast, so stay positive until then and make sure you are good to go if it is 10-15knots, or if 20knots south easterly you could still get up hugging the Island and fish Rooneys and close in... and if it settles you can fish over the spit on 15knots most times in relative safety. Fingers crossed for you all.... Kev.
Here's a few pictures from previous years to get you excited!!!!!!!!!!
And a link to the 2012 trip with my young fella's first Bill fish... I may have been a bit more excited than he was...
