Clairview and Saint Lawrence Fishing
Hey everyone,
My father has always wanted to give fishing a go at either Clairview or Saint Lawrence and this weekend I vowed to take him. No boat use though as a really nice lady merged without looking and now the boat needs a few hull breaches repaired. I was wondering if anyone here knew any good spots for the area landbased. A mate said sand fly creek was alright and the railway bridge at Saint Lawrence. The tide will be around 11am and 5 metres if that helps (6 metres at night). My mate said its not worth the drive (live near Rockhampton) without a decent tide. Any help appreciated. Am willing to give any fishing style a crack (surf, soft plastics, bait).
Cheers,
John

Re: Clairview and Saint Lawrence Fishing
I have seen barra caught under the bridge at St Lawrence but that was at low tide. I always give it a go on my way past.
Clairview creek is always worth a go under the highway.
There's lots of good spots when you look on Google earth but most are on private property. Wherever the railway crosses the creeks always seems good.
