Double island point boat launch
Hey guys,
As it's my last few weeks here before I move overseas for a little while, I wanted to get some fishing in before I leave.
A few mates are heading up to double island point soon and I wanted tag along with my 4x4 and 4.2m tinny. I have heard that you are able to safely launch the boat from the lagoon at di but I have never towed to boat on sand neither launched via the beach and I had a few questions.
Will I need an extended drawbar to launch and is it safe to park on the dunes still? And is the lagoon deep enough? I have read that a lot of sand has been dumped there from the current but those threads were a few years old.
Any tips on this would be great. Will be towing with a lifted d40.
Thanks!

Re: Double island point boat launch
Was up there about a month ago and the lagoon was good for our boats at a length of 5m for 2hours each side of low tide. Went past the toilet block to the north about 500m and launched there. Got plenty of tuskies, snapper and pearlies east of Wolf rock. Fishos did check us at teewah for fish size and full safety gear check.
