How safe is Port Brisbane Boat Ramp?

So I'm wanting to go out on my kayak at night, done it a few times in other places fine even left my car around Cleveland point for 4 days while kayak camping on peel island.

I keep hearing from a friend how its not safe to park the car at the port of brisbane ramp at night cause people steal your cars or break in.
I never had issues before at the port brissy ramp when I went with my dad at 3am to mud island, and never had issues in the day for 8 hours kayak fishing.

Has anyone got any complaints about breakins and if you don't use that ramp where is one that I can drop my kayak in and still be safe ?
Not going all night just 5-6 hours max.

    Thanks

I reckon the ramp at Fishermans Is is one of the safest in Brisbane. You won't have any probs with your car there.

I've never had a prob at the Fishies ramp before. There are cameras over looking the car park and a security guard does a few rounds at night and also during the day. I wish more ramps were this good.

Cameras been there for years only problem they do not cover the ramp itself only the car park so if someone arrives and leaves by boat they can break into cars.
May have changed in last 2 years.
Give port security a ring if you want more info.
    Cheers
