    I usually break them during travel or when im not watching what im doing some of those look pretty piss weak and some look like they come apart at the join it looks like it could hurt getting hit in the head by a big game rod.

    Most of the fishermen in the video were what I call high sticking their rods. Result a broken rod

    Put my reel on a brand new rod and as u do i pulled on the line a bit
    it broke instantly $80 rod i thought OMG
    Took it back and they gave me another one
    Good old T K world
    Never seen that happen before they said

    Egrell S10. 3 of them. 1 was my fault. Incredible rod, but ridiculously fragile.

    my buddy was testing out the brand new fly rod he got for his birthday. in his living room. he put it together, waggled it about a bit to get the feel of it, and must have forgotten about the ceiling fan being on...
    standing on a bridge
    watching water rushing under-
    neath it must have been much harder
    when there was no bridge just water

    I wonder how many of us have lost a rod over-board.

    I know it has happened to be 4 times.

    Not bad odds when you consider how many times I have fished in my life.

    I remember one situation when a stingray which I had caught was up alongside the boat and I was going to release it. Next thing I know the tail whipped up and almost hit me in the face. As I pulled back to avoid being hit I realised my grip and rod and real went 'bye-bye'.
