Switch for Rule Bilge Pump 1100

can anyone help me on installing a switch for this bilge pump?

i want to have it permanently connected it to my outboard battery and then turn it on when needed.

any schematics or other would be helpful...

Do you mean a float switch for auto operation or just a manual switch or both Splash

Do you have a switch panel with a spare spot or is it a seperate install.

i have a switch panel, but thinking at this stage to just have a separate install (near the unit) with an independent switch.

Re: Switch for Rule Bilge Pump 1100

    Hi guys.

    Just building onto this thread....

I have the multi-switch panel (10 switches on the one panel).

Besides this bilge pump, I want to wire all other 12V devices (sounders, lights, etc) onto this switch panel and need your help.

The switch panel comes with 15A fuses for each of the 10 switches.

How do I connect these devices up to this switch panel?

Do i retain the 15A fuses - irrespective of what device I connect?

Re: Switch for Rule Bilge Pump 1100

The positive wire from each device will connect to the output wire/terminal of the switch you wish to use. Some switches eg - nav lights may end up with more than one wire connected. The negative wire from each device typically connects to a separate block or post that has a single heavy connection to the negative battery terminal. Change the fuses to the correct value for each device or a second fuse of the correct value must be put in line creating another point for possible failure
