diy castnet

I am looking at making my first cast net. been looking for a book i can buy on the subject within Australia, does anyone know where I could source one?

Good luck with that i dont think you will find a book,your better off buying one its cheaper,ive built my own cast net and drag net and its very easy after working on trawlers and learning to sew and makeing trawl nets,useing a old lead line and top from a draw string cast net still took me 25 hour to sew up and hang in 3/4 inch,thats why its cheaper to buy one.

Mate don't do it unless you have a lot of spare time and patience...I just finished sewing the lead weights back on to my 12 footer, which is now 10 foot after ripping it on something ugly under the southport bridge.. and its a pain....
