    2007 f60 yamaha nmea?

    Hello,

I have twin 2007 model f60 yamaha on my kevlacat.

I've made a ton of phone calls but yet to find a definite answer. Anyone know if this year model nmea2000 compatible? I was hoping to be able to plug in a lowrance interface cable or setup a simply nmea2000 network linked to my motors . I'd like to get fuel flow details through to my gps/sounders.

yamaha have quoted me approx $1800 to setup a yamaha hub, seems a bit steep to me.

anyone have the same outboard or know what the nmea/command link cable looks like in the outboard? I called 3 yamaha dealers and most had no idea on what was what.

    cheers

2007 was the year nmea2000 was brought out on yammies. It took me weeks to find the info. I think it was June/July when the conversion was made from 0186?

I have a 2007 F150 and I am a one shy of having nmea200. Sucks... I really wanted to link to my raymarine.

    Thanks for the info,

So how exactly did you find out that information?

I know I can set up Yamaha command link, but that's very expensive.

I *had* a contact at Raymarine. Command link is very expensive. I see you've already got a Lowrance, so you're in luck. Just spend $150 and get a Lowrance fuel flow meter. Better then 1.8K! For me this isn't an option as they don't interface to other sounders easily(in regards to calabration and the nmea info you get out, as it's Lowrance propriety signals).

Easy way to tell if your engine has this or not, I forgot to mention sorry. Take the cowl off, and near the fuel filter you should have a "white" connector. The below link will show you what it looks like.

Flex I had same issue, 2007 yammy f200 4 stroke not nmea 2000, not able to run through electronics, I fitted a LMF 200 fuel flow sensor, was way off readings, said I had used 170 lts filled up and put in 226 lts into tank. This happened many times, do not buy one of them.
I spoke with Yammaha Tech in Sydney I think, ended up putting a Yamaha Fuel Management system in reads fuel flow, and gives fuel economy after connecting to plotter for GPS signal. I have dun 2 trips since being installed and used 140 lts of fuel, when refilled it has been 300 ml off fuel reading, very happy with that, bought system from Brisbane Yamaha cost $550 delivered

I just checked and my motors have the white plug as per the picture.
It has a white and blue wire going to it. is this nmea 2000?
If so can I just plug this straight into a lowrance unit and get fuel details?
