A lot of mechanics swear by salt away, we use it for our 150 etec after every trip.
it just makes sure that it will eliminate any salt residue that may build up in there.
Guys....wondering your thoughts of using an additive/concentrate when flushing your motor. I've always run the outboard for around 15~20 mins in fresh water via the earmuffs for the last 3 decades.
Yesterday I grabbed some salt away for my reels and the guy mentioned it was available in concentrate form to flush your motor.
I'm running an new optimax 150 with only around 40 hours on it and considering using BUT is there any benefit? Also wonder any warranty issues could result because of use.
Cheers
