the humminbird SI is in everyway better than the elite series.......but... you pay more. so.. theres always that.

Probably a bit late to add but the Elite 7 I purchased came with the transducer and the Navionics card.

yeah i thought they would "hence thinking it sounded silly" might of just been a rouge store trying to make a few extra dollars.
