Inskip Point weekend
Just got back from 4 days camping at inskip point for 3 nights. Managed 6 nice muddies and abunch of undersize – all feeding on the morning making tide. Flathead were everywhere on the flats out the front ofinskips camping area on soft plastics which made for some fun sessions. Caught some nice bream and gar around themangroves at high tide. One thing that was surprisingly lacking over the dayswas whiting. Normally we manage a dozen or more elbow slappers however on thistrip only 3 decent whiting were landed. Either the moon phase was wrong or the proshad been through just before we got there.
Cheers Rob

Re: Inskip Point weekend
Hey Rob,
How was the weather? what plastics were you using for the flatties? I am up there from Saturday next week so hopefully they are still around. What were you using for crab pot bait? Any areas do better than others?
Cheers Will.

Re: Inskip Point weekend
Hi Will - the squidgy wrigglers and zman in bloodworm were doing the damage for me - having said that my old man was using a 15cm hardbody which also caught a few (i seriously thought he was taking the piss when he tied it on). the water was pretty clear so i stuck with the clearer colours. Weather was great - a few afternoon thunderstorms but that was it and even they were rather pleasant. As far as pot bait we were using everything from fresh bait to stinky old frames and both were catching crabs - on the banks in slightly deeper warter was where the bigger ones were but they were only feeding on 1 tide per day. the campgrounds were pretty quiet so you should get a good spot
cheers
