Japan says it will abide by Ruling to stop Whaling

So its happened. No more smoked whale , whale sandwich, whale salad, whale burger or nuggets. Not sure how long it will last. A mate of mine ate whale in Japan recently, he said it was nice.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but the ruling for Whaling was only for the Southern Ocean. Japan hunt whales during the winter months in the Pacific.

About 400 whales a year are ( were ) taken for " research " and human consumption.

Just wondering if Japan played it smart and told the world they would harvest for human consumption and fish to a Quota, would they be allowed to continue. ? I think so... reduction by 50 - 90%. Then we'll have to contend with Black Market whaling.........

haha wonder who'll be first one caught for "illegal possession of humpback fillets" hidden in secret compartment. I have to say at times you could easily harpoon them when they are just lazing around. They might put up a bit of a fight though once hooked..
