Left Sea Worls Ramp at about 7am. Went and seen what was happening on the 12's but all was quiet.
Headed south and ended up with 12 spotties. All fell to floating pillies in a burley trail.
Mate hooked onto a HORSE of a Cobia. I gaffed it under the gills and it ended up jumping off the gaff and bending the hooks. Kept an eye on the area for it to pop up floating at the surface but no luck. We had no idea how we were going to fit it in as it was twice the size of the esky. We took some video footage which is the only proof of how big it was. It's good to know that such fish still exist in a heavily fished area.
Weather was great and the wind picked up a little bit around 11am and we headed back in.
Here's a picture of 10 of them.
