I'm also looking at the 492, not sure though whether I wold be able to throw a cast net out the back of one. Pojo, you have any experience of this? Also most of the ones I've been looking at have 85 zukes on them or old 2 strokes anyway. Do you get it outside pojo on a good day?

    Hi Jarpunna,
I have a 2011 493F, with a 90 opty, l get great fuel range, about 200 clix, l am very happy with it to date, only done 30 hours so far, the rides pretty good, have not put it in the big blue sea yet, soon, have a few small problems that l am working on. Other than that pretty happy.
    regards
    Andrew.

492/493 was/is one of the most popular hulls that Signature produced. I had a 493F with a 90 Merc two banger - great boat especially for two people fishing. Ride quality is outstanding for a boat its size.
One thing was the hatch on the 492 was on the small side - they fixed it for the 493 to suit us ahem more generously sized gents!

ok. thanks pojo. Do you tend to drive on or pull it up onto the trailer? I imagine the 90 would make it fly.

I pull my boat on to the trailer easy as ,have thought of fitting a power winch but really don't need it. Des
