Hi guys just wondering are you allowed to tow a boat or caravan with a 4500gvm truck on an Aussie car licence?

    Thanks

Even though you can drive that truck i would check because i think towing you will have to have a heavy vehicles licence when i was younger once you hit two ton you had to have a c class but they change the law like undies nowdays.

If the truck is only rated as a car (4495 kg) then you can tow up to whatever the gross combination mass is on the placard.
Our derated truck (canter 3.5 derated to 1.5) tows around a bobcat on a trailer legally on a car license - just.
There are maximum combination lengths you will also need to abide by as well though.
