Re: Where does everyone flush their outboards?
When I read this thread title, I thought it was a trick question. "The flushing port, of course...."
I then read on...
My motor isn't what you'd call new, but it has a flushing port on it. And the manual tells you not to run the motor when you flush it via this method. Is this not an option?
Otherwise, I'll quote a recent post race interview - "Give it some jandal and f**k yeah!"

Re: Where does everyone flush their outboards?
Pretty sad when people have a whinge about such short inconveniences to their own lives. What a bunch of whingers Aussies have become.
Anyway, as someone said you have firmly stuff a rag up inside the prop PRIOR to starting, certainly takes the edge off the sound.
Personally, I absolutley LOVE hearing someone start an old V6 two-stroke outboard on the muffs. Can hear it from streets away, and it's it's a Merc.... well I'm sold! Give her SOME JANDAL!
