Ducked down to the river for a quick session this arvo. Second cast produced a cod so I thought it was gunna be a hectic session. Alas - nothing for the next hour until it was popper time. Two quick fish on poppers and I was home before dark - very happy. Third fish was a beauty but I missed a pic due to early release while setting up for the photo lol.

Yeah the river has stopped running down that way but the holes still have fish.
We did ok a couple of weeks back in a hole downstream from there and I caught my first spinnerbait cod.
That second pic is a brilliant coloured fish...
Same old story though, once you overstock holes its hard to get onto a decent fish but the little ones fill in the gaps.
