Headed up the brissy upper reaches again Sat Morning 4.30 am kick off ( just love Bass on poppers )
Managed a couple of mid 30 fish ist up .
Approx 5 th cast for the day , right at the base of a snag ( not very often can I land a cast exactly where I want it to go, but this one was right on the money ) half of a twitch of the rod tip and BANG were hooked up to what feels like a better fish .After a quick fight landed a healthy lookin 43cm fish.
Continued on with Surface lures for another hour or so , then Tied on a 1/8 ounce Spinner bait & a Jackall Cherry on the spare rod .
A couple of smaller models were landed over the next few hours , along with a couple of big ass catties .
On the return leg fished mainly with the spinner bait , managed 1 x 47cm Bass ( the best for for the day ) Beautiful morning on the river , no wind for the 1st 3 hrs followed by very light wind .
All fish released to fight another battle on another day .
