Trolling off Ballina

Gday,

After a bit of info on the ballina area, I've just moved over to the area from WA and have been out a few time's off ballina have trolled up to lennox and down south to a mark i got given for the mac grounds not far from the beach……. No luck as yet!

Ive been trolling halco lures that I've used in wa and maybe I'm using the wrong lures.

I hear there a lot of dolphin fish around this way and also tuna and macs……..

Any info on how u guys fish for them this side of the island would be much appreciated…….

(got a couple of flattys in the tweed river today as the wind was pretty blowy to go outside )

there was a heap of bait a mile or two south last week picked a dolly up in it all saw a black hooked just north and if your up for a heavy tackle mission head out to the shelf and try your luck on a blue

plenty of mackerel off black head and lennox at the moment. have you tried those areas?

Just back from work, so will be getting out this week weather permitting………. will have a look around those areas for sure! Cheers for the info!

same. at this stage i am hoping to hit the water on wednesday. black head doesn't look to good at the moment as all of the freshwater has swamped that area. maybe reardons and lennox point of fishing in close.

Thinking of checking out the ballina FAD, have a mark for it off the Internet. Will post how I go looks ok tomorrow for outside!
