I've got myself a leave pass for tomorrow, wind looks good - Where should I be going in Moreton Bay to get a feed? I'm new to the bay for fishing and would appreciate any tips! Launching out of Scarborough marina at around 1 hour before high tide in the morning and can head anywhere in the bay, trolling or bottom bashing bait/soft plastics.

Im not clued up at all on Moreton bay myself either.
I have a leave pass for Thursday and Friday, plan to spend the night at Tangalooma. I plan to fish Curtain reef on this trip, if the wife and kids give me a little time off!
get some livies, fish curtin reef on the low and berley up, look around the markers for mackeral and bait busting the surface.

Tomorrow is looking great. I'm going to be on the water about 4am, heading over to the inside of Moreton and maybe sus out a few of the channel markers on the way. Maybe float a few pillies, do some trolling at the 4 beacons if the macs are around.

Saw plenty of fish chasing bait around the beacons, looked like tuna. I was towing rapalas and halco hardbodies around but couldn't raise one myself, great day out on the water though. Carpark at Scarborough was busy for a weekday... lot of sickies being taken.
Going to rig up some metal slugs tonight and have another crack tomorrow.
How did you guys go?
Im off tomorrow morning but won't fish till the low tide in the afternoon.

It was busy this morning as well.. Fullest iv ever seen it on a week day. Didn't do any good though.. Not a single Mack seen landed by any of the boats out there at the beacons.. Plenty of tuna but again not single fish seen hooked. I did get a massive run on a live pike that I think was a shark as the line came back hookless with the trace roughed up abit.

How far across the bay were the tuna? Bay looked awesome from sandgate this morning!
I went out yesterday (Thursday) morning before dawn. Just trolled quite randomly around the eastern side of Mud island in no particular spot under the power of my Minn Kota iPilot trolling motor and picked up this bloke. Caught on a pilchard on three 4/0 ganged hooks.
That fish was quite similar in size, maybe a tad bigger, to the one that I caught by doing the same thing on my last fishing trip to Mud Island way back in late November...
