Just got back from Tangalooma, this morning. Had to leave early as my young fella broke out in a fever during the night, and both my wife and eldest daughter got food poisoning / stomach bug from eating chicken (chicken parmy to be exact) at the resort last night (not to happy about that). Fished Curtain reef yesterday afternoon on the low tide for about 2.5 hours, for a zero result! Trip across and back was flat calm 25min run each way!
I think my mate and I had a chat with you yesterday about overnight mooring at Tangalooma.
We were on the Whittley sea legend at the resort about lunch time yesterday with a few work mates. Apart from the normal small pressure waves on the run out tide in the arvo at the mouth of the Brisbane river, the bay conditions were excellent, and possibly the best conditions we have had for a long time.
Very little fishing action around, but again we didn't set out to go fishing or go for a look at the four beacons. Just a great day to go for a snorkel, swim and have a few beers with a great bunch of mates.
Sorry to hear that the family didn't travel so well, and the fish had locked jaws on the day, but overall I find I always have a great time over there and come back extremely relaxed.

Yeah that would have been me, you guys were helping out the fella with a busted started motor!
Im just happy to get out on the water any day of the week, Thursday & Friday have been the only two days since I purchased my boat that I have been able to get the whole family on the boat together. Both days were awesome.
