Which outboard for 5.2 alloy CC? 80 - 115hp and make?

I have been in the process of hunting down a good 5.2 CC tinny and looking at packages. A mob in Mission Beach have the option of choosing your brand of outboard as they are not franchising any specific make. So at this stage I am keen on either E-tec 90 or 115, or maybe a Suzuki 80 up to 115. Trying to figure out if 115 is over kill, or 80 under powered, or 90/100 just right lol. Looking at Formosa Classic 5.2 CC at this stage. Any info on HP or other makes appreciated. Would like to avoid 2 stroke apart from etec...

Hi mate, if youve got the coin definitely get the max hp the boat is rated to. Your better off having that bit extra if you need it, especially on bar crossings. I reckon 115 would b spot on. As for motor brand if it was me def the suzuki, got one and love it. Yamaha and Honda would b my next choice, all three are great in there on right. Good luck,

Yeah sounds like a plan. I have always been keen on the suzukis. do you know much about the 'lean burn' feature? What size is our donk, and how is it on fuel? Thanks

Dont discount a 115 optimax if you are looking at DI 2 bangers, pretty bullet proof and plenty of go.

Mine is 175hp, 2012 not lean burn, google Suzuki lean burn. For fuel haven't even worried about crunching numbers i just know its a hell of a lot better then the old johnson 2 stroke.
