Just finished this one for Aussie icon, Jimmy Barnes. Hope he likes it. The commission was for a blue rod (great taste) with a Urushi in it. I came up with this. The tiger is just stunning. It moves and shape changes right through and has to be seen to believe it. Base of black/metallic gold/metallic electra blue, 3 coats of finish then top layer of navy blue with 2 discards (Prowrap!). The G-Urushi is done with a very dark blue base, then metallic gold, Mexican tile blue and blue marlin bullards pigments. Reminds me of tropical islands seen from the air. The grips are all inlayed EVA and Matagi trims to finish it off. Hope he likes it.
