I was going to install some of those blue underwater lights under the rear duck boards for chasing squid etc , and it will look good at night time
When I looked up the catalogue for Whitworths I notice they had wire suitable for LED lights and speakers - 600mA rating, but then they had LED wiring kits for up to 6 amps which I would think is a little thicker. Most of my wiring is at least 4 sqmm and rated at I think 20 amps (it was given to me and I don't have the roll anymore but it has 90 degrees stamped on it), I was wondering is this too big for LED wiring, will it cause problems because the 600 mA wire seems to be very thin and I wouldn't have thought it would have been suitable.
I am looking at replacing all my light with LED's so was wondering whether I should be making some changes.
just checked and the cable I currently have installed is AUSTCABLE 90degrees C HT
Jack, yet to buy some so it is open to conjecture and they aren't spots but all the ones I have seen are either white or blue so was going to go with the blue.
Use the standard 4mm tinned u can get from a chandlery...the thin stuff is generally fine for led's like nav lights/cabin lights etc coz they draw bugger all, but underwater lights are a little more juicy.
