    Thick at Palm Beach.

Went to Palm beach reef today, first time out there. The spotties were thick! Though they didn't seem to want to touch my wire, though I did end up getting one on wire. After a change to mono the action started happening, for me at least. Boated 4 all up for the morning and dropped about 4-5 due to running 40lb mono, but more then enough fish for me. Most boats were pulling them in, more then me I would say.

All caught just using a pilly on a single 8/0, either with or without a float. Water temp was around 25.

These are my first mackerel ever so I am definitely pleased with the result!

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

I read your post about going out through the bar and it looks like all those tips paid off for a great feed. Well done

Agree with Si, looking and scrolling through posts, especially with a phone it is so easy to hit the disagree button, I know I have on several occasions then gone back at a later date and seen them (and removed).

    Nice fish Haines and Spoon.

    cheers

I smoke my fish by soaking in a mix of water,1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup salt for an hour or so,you can vary this ratio to taste.I have a little kipper smoker and they work well.I think the dislike is big finger on a phone or tablet. If not he is jelous as he can't fish !

    Great fish hainsofast,

I wasn't lucky enough to land a cobia, maybe next time though.

Wouldn't worry about the disagree by snappersbug. Unintentional most probably, I have done it once or twice.
