Would this hull be suitable for offshore use? There is a 70hp Johnson on the back of it... Roughly a 80's model motor maybe even earlier. The hull itself is centre console.

I'm not quite sure on the thickness of the alliminium hull, maybe 1.6mm

And, if you dont crack the fudge out of the hull, it WILL crack the fudge out of your back, especially offshore, but also in any decent Bay chop as well.

i did a trip many years ago in one of them from Bribie out to Caloundra Wide. I was 6 ft 7" when i left, and when i arrived back, 3 days later when i could finally stand upright again, I was only 6ft 4"!
Note to self: Don't argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience....

The hull is more of a flat bottom than a v hull...

A good mate has a 14'6" ab. We fish the creeks in his boat and mine offshore. In any sort of chop the ab will beat the shit out of you and you will be drenched. On the plus side it is cheap to run and not a big investment.

Even for the creek, buy a spray jacket.

    Avoid offshore like the plauge!

    Cheers
