    Morton Bay Sand Crabs

    Just wondering if anyone is catching any lately? Mate said there a bit quiet..............wondering what depth ??? shallow or deep.

    It has definitely quietened off a bit Mate.
    Last week only produced Jennies in my usual spot where a couple of weeks ago there were good sized bucks. About a month or so before that, there were a lot more bucks but not as big.
    Numbers have thinned out, but the size and quality has improved.
    Everyone has their own methods but I normally watch the sounder and try and put them in 10-12ft of water at low tide, along a dropoff if possible.
    I have found an outgoing tide produces best for me but others may beg to differ.

    getting plenty over my way in shallow water
    Dad reckons fishing is 10% brains and 95% muscle, the rest is just good luck.

    I was thinking about scraping the cobwebs off my pots and looking for a few Crabs to chuck on the table at Christmas but the tides don't look great for it.

    the early morning low tides monday and tuesday look perfect for me to get a few for xmas day
    Dad reckons fishing is 10% brains and 95% muscle, the rest is just good luck.
