    Can anyone share some info on fishing the burrum eg rock bars to look out for etc

    i know that the beach just north of the mouth holds some nice flathead, and the channel directly out from that holds school mackerel around september.

    It's mostly sandbars. Rocks are in the Gregory. Use google maps and you should be able to work it out. Which ramp are you leaving from, and what area are you going to?

    Staying at Buxton fishing the river and having a good look around . If the weather is fine i will head out towards the 8 mile for a look

    If you fish the entrance to the Gregory on the port side there are some rock ledges or just head up about a kilometre and there are some more options. Should be threadfin, jacks and barra about this time of year.
