Well after a long absent from the rock due to work commitments and personal reasons I finally got my sorry A$$ out of bed early enough to hit the rocks at my normal spot.
The sea was flat and just a hint of a breeze at my back I launched my first lure, well no one told me they had moved the rocks around down there. After quickly re-rigging with my 2nd favorite lure I soon found my rhythm again.
Only after four or five cast I was on to a fish.. called it for a Jew and sure enough it was a small Schoolie that was safely returned to the water as it was just under size. A few casts later, just when I was starting to think that they were spooked I was on again and the line took off at a hundred mile per hour, only to have the hooks pull. So more cast were called for before hooking up again just as it was getting light and I was thinking of switching to a spinner I hooked up to the Jew and was able to land it with little trouble. So with it getting light it was time for the spinners to come out and what followed was like a winters Tailor run with every cast getting a hit or a fish, with some stonking great runs before pulling the hooks, landed 3 with the biggest just over 50 cm and the 2 smaller ones around the 40 cm mark. The Jew went just on 75cm.So watch out fish...... Aussiefool is back
