    Raising transom to lift motor

    Hello all,
Had a mate rock up to the pontoon at the house on Sunday to show of his new boat - big pressed hull CC tinnie (6m). He wanted to ask my thoughts as to why it was throwing so much water up at the back. To cut a long story short the motor is way to low - about 5 inches. The block is only 25cms above the water line. The motor is already in the bottom bottom holes - lifted up so high there's a two inch gap between the transom support and the bottom of the motor bracket now. In other words it can't physically go up any higher. Whoever built the boat needs a kick in the pants. The motor is 115 Yammie V4 two stroke.
Anyway - he needs the motor bracing section of the transom built up - at least 5-6 inches. Anyone here done it? Anyone got photos? Anyone recommend somewhere on the Gold Coast who would do it? Alloy Boat builder? Alloy welder?
    Thanks in advance.

Alloy welder ...won't cost much fill in , mate just got his done for about 200 , reason being is the boat has sunk , they retrieved it out of 20 m of water .can't for the life of me see how boat builders put such low transoms in ...

The transom length is not a builder 'design" it is governed by motor leg lengths, there is only a few lengths available, and in some HP the selection is only 2.
